In the third and final episode of the Freddy Corbin series, we see exclusive footage of Freddy parachuting at the age of 24 and hear the personal, intimate details of his young life and career – from the early days of his drug abuse, to living in Amsterdam’s Red Light District, his brother’s tragic death, and being petrified of starting a family.

 

Melbourne Tattoo & Body Art Expo- Directed by Steve Guzman

Sydney based photographer and videographer Steve Guzman recently posted this video he directed from the first Melbourne Tattoo & Body Art Expo. Its an amazing edit that really captures the atmosphere that was around for the weekend. He managed to squeeze in some amazing work from the supremely talented Sam Clark, Steve Cross, and a really nice insight into Dr. Rev’s groundbreaking “straight from the vein” bloodpainting that caused a good stir. Tattoo Age: Freddy Corbin, Part 1

Ive been looking forward to this one. In the first installment of the Freddy Corbin series, we get familiar with Freddy’s tattoos as well as see his two Oakland tattoo parlors, Temple and Tattoo 13. Freddy’s style is further explained by his right hand man and fellow tattooer, Jason Mcafee. We also got a chance to speak with another Oakland legend, pro skater and chopper guy, Max Schaaf, about understanding Mr. Corbin’s coolness.

Matt Cunnington has posted a print which you can get your greasy mitts on until they run out. How they haven’t already is beyond me, but you can bet I have one in the mail, and if you don’t… well… you are clearly insane. The limited run of fifty giclee prints on 308gsm Hahnemuhle rag paper are $100ea. 570 X 250mm. Mike Moses prints!

The amazingly talented Mike Moses from Thicker Than Water tattoo in New York  posted some info via his Instagram account today about a pre-sale of a very limited run of prints that went online around 9am this morning, and sold out almost instantly. After almost wetting myself, I got my hands onto one of only 10 of these prints titled “Glimmerhead”.
